Median Home Price Drops
Just a few short years ago, the medin price of a home was $ 280,000.. Thingshave changed a lot since 2004. Our strong resilient economy has taken a sharp downturn that noone could have predicted. Approaching the end of 2009. the median home price in the Las Vegas area has dropped to $150,000. It is at, the lowest in almost eight years. The last lowest median price was May of 2001, when it was $148,000. Since that time the huge influx of foreclosures has driven down the value of homes in our community. We are high on the list of metropolitan areas with populations of 200,000 or more, with a large number of bank owned properties. We currently stand at more than seven times the national average
This Too Will Pass:
When this economic crisis is behind us and balance has returned between supply and demand for the home selling marke, Las Vegas will still be Las Vegas the favorite destination vacation for people from all over the world.. Even in the midst of this serious recession, our city enjoys a continuous influx of tourists. We are now a popular location for the film industry. The mystique of the City that never sleeps intrigues visitors and future residents of our fair city.
